Liz & Katy

Katy is full of personality.  One minute she is a warm cuddly furball on Liz’s lap, the next she is up to anything.  Liz works in an office behind the house, and Katy loves getting between Liz and the computer.

She is a bulldozer too, getting into drawers, cupboards and even her favourite box on top of the wardrobe.  She sleeps half the night in the linen cupboard, and the rest on our bed. Her current love is a large dog brush we bought to handle her thick winter coat.  She is very fluffy this winter – we have noticed her fur grows longer each year. She demands to be brushed for hours.

She loves fancy feast, and especially the Savoury Salmon Feast. She believes that she will be a feisty and exacting food critic, although Liz will have to do the typing.  While Katy loves the keyboard, she thinks it is a place to sleep and play, not work! Katy and Liz look forward to being Gold Level food critics, and we will see everyone on the caternet (oops, internet)!

Furry greetings from Katy and friends. Liz, Katy and our friend Kitty had a meeting and worked out how we would catalogue the products. Every night, Liz gave half a can each to Katy and Kitty, and watched them eat it. Nose in bowl, not coming up even for air meant a ‘5′ and no interest at all meant a ‘0.5′. Lots of looking around, or walking away from the bowl scored lower scores. Kitty is an old cat and prefers minced food over sliced, as she tends to lick the gravy only when the meat bits are bigger. Both of them love chicken more than beef, and did not really like the whitefish/ tuna dish. Katy says that since the pack did not contain her favourite savoury salmon, she wasn’t really excited about the fish options. They both love their Fancy Feast. We finished the pack last night which is a catastrophe. I suspect that there will be a lot of catcalling tonight when they get served up their ordinary cat food. Unless the next pack arrives soon, it is likely there will be Cataclysms. As befits Gold Level critics, they are extremely discriminating and fussy in their tastes. Cattitude, we call it. So if there is a Cat burglar at the Fancy Feast Factory, you may find that my small but desperate team are responsible.

I don’t like earthquakes! Did you know that lots of cats ran away from home during all that shaking? I got a bit sick and had to go to the vet, and haven’t been sleeping much. But Kitty, the fat lazy old thing, barely twitched a whisker. I am such a sensitive soul! Anyway, in the middle of the many shakes my Fancy Feast parcel arrived. Until then, I had been hiding out most of the time in my secret place, and not really eating. But Liz started serving Fancy Feast for breakfast, so how could I resist? My favourites out of this lot were the yummy chopped grill and the beef and chicken. Liz said she hadn’t seen the chopped grill in the shops, but I assure you it is delicious! There were two elegant medleys this time, and I didn’t really like them much. As I have been very nervous and jumpy, the creamier texture might have been a bit much for me. I didn’t eat the whitefish and tuna and neither did Kitty. Just a bit fishy, really – we like meat. Anyway, I hope all the missing Christchurch cats find their way home and that someone is feeding them some delicious Fancy Feast to keep them purring. The newspaper said that chocolate sales were up in Christchurch as people coped by eating comfort food. Well, Fancy Feast is OUR comfort food, our yummy food, our delish food!! Love and paws, Katy

Liz went on holiday to Hawaii so Garth helped us out for this month’s important food critic business. Kitty and I were very interested in the gravy lovers meals, as we do love gravy. And the gravy was yummy, but we thought that the meaty bits were a bit too chunky for our taste. Chop them finer, please, FF chef. We both loved the kitten whitefish meal – perhaps we are both kittens at heart! And the salmon and chicken – Garth said our noses did not leave the bowl until they hit the bottom and then we licked it out! I didn’t like the tuna much, but Garth said that you need refined tastes to enjoy tuna and I am too young to be refined. I am sure some of my gold standard colleagues will have enjoyed it. We enjoyed everything else very much. Big thanks and purrs to Fancy Feast! Anyway, Liz is now back, summer is coming, the earthquakes are getting fewer and we are on top gold standard critic form for the Christmas period. Love, Katy.
