Artemis loves to sleep. After a hard day sunbathing and rolling in dirt, he loves nothing more than to curl up in his Daddy’s bean bag for a relaxing slumber. Even the continual threat of toppling off as he nears the edge doesn’t deter him, and after a quick splat on the floor, he is back, curled up just as snug as before.
A keen sportsman, Artemis loves prowling the grounds. He races up trees, collecting nuts and baby apples as trophies. He also likes gardening and loves to dig holes in the fresh dirt.
Artemis has completed training in Beauty Therapy, and is keen to use this talent. He realises the importance of clean ears, gelled hair and smart coats, even if others do not. He has been known to restrain clients that do not respect his art. As a result, his younger sister Tabitha has the whitest ears in the whole of Christchurch.
He is currently employed as head of security, and recruited Tabitha, as back up. At night he is in charge of surveillance, continually keeping watch from the windows to make sure no one dares to intrude on his property. Tabitha is often stationed at key locations as Sentry to report back should anything unusual occur.
Of course, this hard work would not be possible without their nightly fancy feast, served by one of their two butlers, who are on hand to cater for any cravings.
Atermis loves his role as Fancy Feast Food Critic. It’s a great excuse for him be allowed to be fed first, before his sister, and ON TIME! He is especially keen to eat Elegant Medleys, any flavour, he’s not fussy! He can’t wait for the food to be spooned into his bowl, and has tried numerous positions to allow him to quickly get a bite in straight from the can, while I’m trying to spoon it into his bowl! He also makes sure to lick his bowl VERY clean on Elegant Medley nights, so well that it looks like we may have forgotten to feed him – cunning plan! Artemis advised me today that his least favourite (although he really does like them all) would have to be the Classic Range. Whilst reminding him of pate, his favourite part is the jelly. He is sure to like this off first, and only then is happy to share both bowls with his sister. Ocean Whitefish and Tuna is his favourite classic style. When forced to pick an everyday favourite, Artmis would choose the Grilled or Sliced varities, stating Fancy Feast Flaked Tuna is the best of all. He loves the simpleness of the taste and the way it has been cooked to perfection, perfect with some chilled water on the side. He is sure to inspect both bowls at night and rush towards any of the fish varities, A quick push and his sister is out the way. Mmmm, delicious.
Artemis feels very important continuing his role as a Fancy Feast food critic. Last night he pushed Tabitha aside to make sure he tried both the Fancy Feast Marinated Turkey (4.0/5) and Elegant Medleys Tender Turkey Tuscany (5.0/5). Delicious! Tabitha was not impressed; Artemis had to eat most of each flavour to make an informed decision. Artemis is still really enjoying the seafood inspired flavours, such as Fancy Feast Savoury Salmon Pate and Fancy Feast Flaked Chicken and Tuna. It allows him to imagine the luxuries of a life by the sea, without the hassle of water in his hunting grounds. With Spring well under way, Artemis needs extra energy to get through his day. After chasing butterflies, rolling in the sun and digging the garden, Fancy Feast Sliced Chicken Heart fills his tummy right up. Artemis has had to fend off a couple of the neighbouring cats who have watched his packages from Fancy Feast get delivered. Over the past month we have had a couple of invader cats from enemy territory trying to breach the security of our magnetic cat door. They are attempting some daring stunts trying to get to his dinner. So far, so good. With Tabitha on sentry duty while Artemis eats, we have avoided being overrun with cats wanting his Fancy Feast goodies.
This month’s Fancy Feast pack arrived just on time. It was my sister Tabitha’s Birthday, and what better gift than a new Fancy Feast Treat. Dad decided that we would try the new Gravy Lovers for her birthday dinner. We sampled Ocean Whitefish and the Salmon Feast as Tabitha loves Seafood! She tried to eat all of my dinner, and since it was her birthday, I let her think she had managed to sneak a bit. I knew if I was nice I might get a few extra pats later from Dad. Not satisfied with just one night of Gravy Lovers, I insisted with some very loud meowing, that I WOULD be eating the Chicken Feast & Beef Feast for dinner the following nights. And this time, I would not be sharing! I am very impressed with the delicate addition of the Gravy. It coats the meat portions perfectly, leaving them moist and tender! A+ Fancy Feast Team! I still enjoy the usual flavours, Sliced Salmon & Chicken Feast rates highly, especially after a hard day in the garden. This month, I have spent a lot of time supervising Dad planting Catnip and other plants I can lick, eat or lay under. I exhausted myself sparring with the Catnip flowers and had to have an early dinner, Chunky Chicken – mmmm. I have also helped my Dad a lot this month. He is a Baker and I have bought lots of bread rolls and cake from next door for him to use instead. I can’t eat it though, as I am constantly making sure I save room for dinner. I think tonight is Elegant Medley night – Shredded Yellow Tuna. Race you to the bowl, Tabitha!
I have had a hard time picking my favourites this month. With the constant shaking in Christchurch, I have been starving and I am eating as much as I can just in case something happens to my food bowl. Fancy Feast Grilled Chicken was tasty – nice, simple and comforting as my nerves are a bit frayed. Tabitha ate most of my Sliced Turkey, but the bit that I actually got to was good – I think I needed more to form a better opinion though. Dad made sure I got Elegant Medleys on the days we had the biggest aftershocks. Yellowfin Tuna helped me forget that my water was splashed all over the floor. I got Wild Salmon Florentine after I spent the day hiding in the garden because I was tired of things falling down in the house. I am not a “scaredy cat”, just smart as nothing can hurt me under my favourite tree. My silly sister stays inside when it shakes. I am sure she is trying to beat me to dinner. I am sad to be coming to the end of my Fancy Feast Food Critic Assignment, but I know my dinner will still always be Fancy Feast. I refuse to eat anything else, and as my Dad says, I am the boss.
