Lily here!  My Mum got me from a place called the SPCA so long ago I can’t remember.   She was not going to get the first kitten she saw, she did not want a very small kitten, she did not want one with a pink nose or ears, and she definitely did not want a little girl.

So hello – here I am.  You can see how well Mum’s checklist worked.  She was clearly hooked when she saw me, and as you can see from my photos I am incredibly gorgeous.

I live with my mum and dad and my furry friend Toby.  He came from the SPCA place too.  I had only lived at my house for about five months when my Mum rang the SPCA again to say I was getting lonely. They said we needed a male this time, so Mum did not get to choose him either.

My Mum did not want to get a girl kitten because she has trouble at the vet, with operations and cut paws and things.  She has been known to get dizzy and fall over about things like that.  My Dad says that is mad because she works for a people vet who cuts people up all the time and that does not bother her at all.  She says that is because people are not cute and furry.  I could not agree more.

Lily here! I have had a wonderful couple of weeks enjoying the variety pack of goodies that arrived from the nice people at Fancy Feast. My favourites are the tried and true Fancy Feast meals. I am a little undecided about the Elegant Medley’s – it might be because there are green bits in them. My mum kept a careful diary of what I thought of each tin, but we rated them slightly differently, as we had sniffability scores, lickability scores and general speed of consumption. It was noted that on eating the Tender Liver and Chicken my mouth was extremely wide to get in as much as possible, but I don’t think that is a good thing to make public. I do have my reputation for refinement to think about. My mum let me choose which tin I wanted. She holds up two tins and I point to the one I want to try. If I was not too sure of any food, it was passed on to Toby, who gave everything he ate a 5. I think he is more of a glutton than a gourmet. The Fancy Feast Sliced Beef did not even touch the sides when he hoovered it down. All in all, it has been an exciting month for us all. I have tried Fancy Feasts that have never passed my lips before, and I must say the experience has gladdened my taste buds. Like all celebrities I do have to watch my gorgeous figure, but I am pleased to say that even though I have been indulging a lot, I also seem to have heaps of energy and have been giving Toby a bit of a run around. I am eyeing him up as we speak… Yeehah!!! Got him.

Lily here! Boy oh boy what a month for food! There have been lots of my favourite turkey treats. My mum thinks I am quite festive in my outlook on food as it is turkey, turkey all the way. She says I hoovered up the tin of Elegant Medleys Turkey Florentine, after a busy day of ornithology, like there was no tomorrow. Well there certainly was no tomorrow for that particular treat. There wasn’t even time for mum to record the lickability score. I have been sharing some of my food with Toby, but as you know, he is not the connoisseur that I am. He loves anything with a bit of beef in it. My mum and dad are getting up earlier these mornings, with much complaining, but it gives me ample opportunity to eat more. This weekend has been particularly good with two excellent breakfasts requiring short five hour power naps afterwards to help the digestive processes. My energy levels are quite high at the moment as we have moved house and I have a lot of exploring to do. Toby is spending much of his time under the duvet but I am busy and luckily having a big breakfast followed by a short nap sets me up for a day of checking out the immediate neighbourhood. SO all you cats out there in the Bay of Plenty – Lily has come to your area and is looking for furry, purry friends, particularly those who do not hide under duvets.

Lily here! What a month it has been for food! I am loving the new Facy Feast Gravy Lovers and they have been very good for my fabulous figure. I had a birthday last month so it is now doubly important that I do keep an eye on my waistline to ensure that my figure is always at its absolute best. With Fancy Feats Gravy Lovers I get all of the taste and the nutrients by hoovering up the gravy and a few of the choicest morsels and then leaving the rest for Toby to guzzle at his leisure. Being male he is quite happy to have a middle aged spread as he feels it adds to his gravitas. I have to say not in my eyes – he just looks like a big lump. I am getting into the swing of things here in the Bay of Plenty. There is a big retaining wall with a fence on top of that at the back of our house. The other night I climbed to the top like I was climbing a ladder and my dad was down the bottom saying “Oh no I am going to have to go up there and get her” – but of course he didn’t, as I am very fit at the moment with the wonderful Fancy Feast, and I have lost the (very tiny) spare tyre I had before. My mum says I am so bouncy and bold I must be on steroids. I don’t know about that, but I do know I am looking forward to the festive season! Bring on the turkey Fancy Feast!!!

Lily here! The New Year has been brightened by another box of fabulous Fancy Feast. The courier left a ticket at the house to say there was a parcel to pick up and my dad got very excited because he was expecting a new phone. The next day he raced off to the courier place and was handed a delicious box of Fancy Feast. Mum says she would have loved to have seen the look on his face! Well, my face certainly lit up, I can tell you. I have had a difficult weekend with a visit to the vet. Mum was a bit worried about me but the vet said there was nothing wrong with me, BUT that I was the most difficult cat she had seen all day! She also tried to give me a worm pill – THREE TIMES – but she failed and Mum said Lily 1 Vet 0, so you can see why I was so glad to get the lovely tins of Fancy Feast. I certainly deserved a treat after fending off that silly vet. One interesting point that the vet made was that I had lost weight but certainly seemed very fit, which is down to my new outdoorsy lifestyle in the Bay of Plenty, and the health giving benefits of Fancy Feast. Anything Fancy Feastish, especially with turkey in it, has got to be good for you. No need to wait for the festive season to enjoy some turkey I say. I must say Toby does not have the same fondness for it as I do, BUT he does rather like chomping on red meaty things, so beef and lamb products are always a big hit with him. Anyway I have enjoyed my time as a food critic, and will miss my regular parcels, but mum goes shopping every week, and comes home laden with turkey and giblets, savoury salmon etc etc………. Furry wishes to you all, Best wishes from Lily XX
